Object Tracking with the GCopter

This is mainly developed to test the performance of the GCopter extender Interface. In this case the serial interface is extended by an wireless link to a PC. The PC runs a video analyzing Software that returns RC-overwrites everu 20ms via ti link. T vide signal is catured by a wireless camera attached to the copter. The reciver is connected to a video capture device in the PC.
This application is realizing a “object heading” functionality and the PC application overwrites the yaw signal only at this point.

    wow thats great. can we have more details about the SW? leverage the calculation power of aPC for that is really a great idea. wondering if you can use this to hover over an object.

    This is by far the coolest project I’ve seen that makes use of Touchless SDK (touchless.codeplex.com). Great work! I can’t wait to see more. And I’m tempted to buy a quadcopter myself… is there any US distribution?

    Hab aus ebay einen QC erstanden der sieht zwar nicht aus wie ein 450 die Elektronik ist aber identisch. Kann man da was machen mit dem GCopter Projekt Projekt zwecks Verbesserung des Flugverhaltens?
